We’re excited to announce R/GA’s inclusion in Fast Company’s March issue, which highlights the World’s Most Innovative Companies of 2014. Recognized as one of the 10 most innovative companies in the “Internet of Things” sector, both R/GA’s work with Nike and the launch of our connected devices accelerator are key examples of the agency’s work in the space. We’re proud to have been listed alongside forward-thinking companies such as Nest, Philips and Intel, and would like to thank the hard working R/GAers who made this honor possible.
As the first agency-based accelerator program of its kind, the R/GA Connected Devices Accelerator focuses on startups that are creating physical products and connected applications. Through R/GA’s partnership with Techstars, the Accelerator has served as a place for ten promising startups to find the mentorship and guidance necessary for success. Through the duration of the program, the startups have been nurtured and developed by R/GA staff, client mentors, and the Techstars teams.
Launched in December 2013, the three-month program is fast coming to a close. On Saturday, March 8, the ten startups will have their first opportunity to officially unveil their products to hundreds of angel investors and venture capitalists during a Demo Day at SXSW Interactive in Austin, Texas. Clients are encouraged to join R/GA and the teams to learn more about these innovative connected devices, which span industry verticals including health care, retail, and navigation.
