Mobile users spent an average of 77 min/day using mobile apps in Q1 2012

In mobile advertising, revenue generated by social media apps surpassed revenue generated from gaming apps for the first time in April, 2012, making up 37% of all mobile ad revenue, compared to 36% for games.

Mobile users spent 31% of their time on apps in games during Q1 2012, an increase over 22% the year before.

Mobile users spent an average of 24 minutes per day using social media apps in Q1 2012, a 60% increase in use over 15 minutes per day during Q1 2011.
